What do I need for lessons?

You'll need a computer or a mobile phone for your lessons. Vietnamese pronunciation is very important, so we recommend using earphones or headphones to hear clearly. If you're using a desktop PC or another computer without a built-in microphone, you might need to buy a separate microphone. VIETCAFE uses its own browser-based system for lessons, so you don't need to install any separate video call apps. You can take your video lessons directly from your internet browser. However, if you prefer to use Zoom, you can request it when you book your lesson.

Do you need to install a video call app to take lessons?

VIETCAFE has its own browser-based lesson system, so you don't need to install any other video call apps. However, we do support Zoom if you prefer to use it. If you want to use Zoom, you'll need to request it when you book your lesson.

What video call app do you use for lessons?

VIETCAFE uses a special lesson system that doesn't require any installation. This means you don't need to download or install any video call apps. Simply go to your lesson from your My Page, and our dedicated lesson system will automatically launch. However, if you prefer to use Zoom, we can accommodate that.

Do you need to buy Vietnamese textbooks separately?

At VIETCAFE, we provide our own original learning materials for your lessons, so you don't need to buy anything extra. However, if you prefer to use different textbooks or materials, please purchase them yourself, and we will be happy to use them in your lessons.

What are the available lesson times?

You can take lessons 24 hours a day, any day of the week. You can book lessons during the time slots that our instructors have made available.

How long is one lesson?

Each lesson at VIETCAFE is 25 minutes long. If you wish to study for a bit longer, you can book two consecutive lessons for a total of 50 minutes. If you're taking lessons with a dedicated instructor and would like a session longer than 50 minutes, please contact us via our inquiry form.

Does my free trial automatically switch to a paid membership?

No, your account won't automatically switch. You'll only become a paid member when you sign up for Daily Lessons, buy lesson tickets, or enroll in Dedicated Instructor Lessons.

Are there any costs other than the lessons?

You won't be charged for anything other than your lessons, except in a few specific cases (for example, if you request paid learning materials).
